Accidentally, posted the review on the wrong account and wanted to repost it here: Lately we've been feeling nostalgic when we had traveled to Korea for vacation. Siroo hit that craving for us. It really felt familiar even though my Korean is not very good I could still order fine in English. You can get so many things from a variety of street food k-dogs to tteokbokki. I love their bibim-naengmyeon 비빔냉면. It was the perfectly level of spicy and still felt refreshing on a hot day. Definitely a bit of a local hangout, but also would highly recommend anyone to come try. I am looking forward to trying the juk next time.

Siroo is such a nice little casual place to go to eat such a variety of home-y Korean foods! Of course, their porridges are the reason I go most of the times ~ (have tried their Chicken Ginseng Juk and Tuna Juk are my go to's)! I tried out their non-juk items too! Their fried selection of corn dogs are actually very flavorful and crunchy! Although, sometimes I ask for no sugar on the classic dog bc it can be a bit too sweet for me. Their Hamburger Steak was pretty good and has a lot of sauce! (simple meal) I also tried their Yukae Jang and that really hit the spot with such a large portion! Overall, great spot to come back for casual meals, snacks, and pick up items to go! 7.5/10!

My girlfriends and I have been talking about Korean corn dogs and shaved ice for the longest that we decided to plan a day out to VA just to get what we've been talking about. You order your food from a kiosk and a ticket is printed with your order number. The place is pretty spacious on the inside so there's plenty of seating. I ordered the hot Cheeto's corn dog and I can't remember the other one. For my dessert, I ordered the mango shaved ice. The corn dogs were a 10/10. The spiciness was leveled out by the sugar they put on the corn dogs. The reason for the one star is due to everything here having sugar and being sweet. For example, the kimchi was sweet with a hint of spiciness. The mango shaved ice was also 10/10.

Finally decided to check this place out after seeing it on social media. It is located in Seoul plaza behind Little River Turnpike. I went on a Tuesday afternoon with a friend and there was ample parking. When you first walk in, there are displays on either side with various banchans and snacks. Towards the middle, there are packaged goods such as soups, various rice cakes (sweet and savory), and other prepared food. Towards the right side, you can see the kitchen as well as wall of ramen. You can order either from the two kiosks by the door or at the counter. They also offer cafe beverages and bingsoo. I had ordered the yukgaejang (spicy beef soup with shredded brisket, bean sprouts, vermicelli noodles, egg, burdock root, green onions) which came with a side of rice, kimchi and pickled radish. The soup came out bubbling in the stone bowl and the soup was not overly salty or watery. It was the perfect meal on a rainy day. I also ordered an oden (fried fish cake) served in broth. The fish cake was on the softer side but still had some bite and the soup was light and not too fishy. My friend ordered the spicy pork rice (sweet and spicy marinated pork bulgogi stir fried with onions and bell peppers) served on a bed of rice garnished with sesame seeds, shredded cabbage salad with light dressing and a side of kimchi/pickled radish. She enjoyed it and said it was worth the price the portions were enough for two meals. She also ordered an iced citron tea (preserved citron, sugar, and honey mixed with hot water served over ice).

Interesting place! It's like a premade food market with some seating that situated in a small shopping plaza. Food here is quick and cheap and you have options. You can buy instant ramen and make it there or order desserts, oden, Korean hot dogs. You can also grab premade items like ttebokki, kimbap, kimchi, rice cakes, banchan. Kimbap and seaweed salad were the two best things we ordered. Other things were just so so. Mostly was just fun to try this different style of restaurant. It's all counter service and its friendly/helpful. They had a deal when we went buy one get one free ttebokki and the server was insistent we walk out with two! Helpful even if that was way more ttebokki than needed. :) Negative side the space is a little oddly organized I can see it being hard to move around when it's busy but the most challenging think was the endless beeping from Korean hotdogs being ready for pick up. It was mildly irrating and made us decide to get the food to go. Something that maybe doesn't bother everyone but... pass for me.

The perfect hidden gem for Korean street food! There's quite literally anything you can think of on their menu and there's also plenty of to-go items you can pick up too. Service is super friendly and there's plenty of seating on the inside. We tried their mango bingsoo which wasn't too sweet but had the perfect amount of sweetness. Their Korean corn dogs also have the popular hot cheeto dust which is definitely very trendy! Their rice plates are also very filling and a must-try.

Still one of my favorite hidden gems in Annandale. Legitimately every Korean classic on the menu and delicious food with flavor, authenticity, and the homemade love. I always tend to get the hot stone pot from here called dolsot which has a lovely homey feel with rice, a ton of vegetables, and a spice (sauce). Also, did you know they sell Korean hot dogs here fresh to order?! Absolutely perfect with crispy exterior, juicy hotdog, and a great low price of only $4 for the original!!

Dukbokki, tteokbokki, ddeokbokki, duk bok ki, however you spell it, Siroo has the best in town, and that's saying a lot if you're in Annandale. Why is it so good? First, it's not even on the menu - it's in prepackaged to-go bowls, so you gotta ask for it like an insider. Soft, firm, chewy rice cakes dripping in sweet, spicy sauce with a few scallions for crunch. This is the closest you can get to authentic Seoul street food. Yes, all the other stuff on the menu is good, but when I get a craving for the dduk, this is where I go. Give it a try!
